What a statement to the ears of Kannadigas on the 60th Kannada Rajyotsava! Rajanikanth super star of Tamil cinema and recognised at the universe for his potential says like Lord Raghavendra Swamy – Dr Rajakumar is also Lord to him.

The super star was speaking at a function on his strong bondage with Lord Raghavendra Swamy a few days ago. Rajanikanth explained that he used to speak to Lord Raghavendra Swami quite often. Once he stopped talking to him for 15 days. That is after his 100th film ‘Sri Raghavendra Swami’ in Tamil did not do well.

Like how Lord Venkateshwara came to the dream of Dr Rajakumar, Lord Raghavendra Swamy came in the dream of Rajanikanth. After that he visited Mantralaya. The crowd did not permit him to spend time liberally. He visited Chennai Triplicane Sri Raghavendra Swamy temple. That was once again crowded for his presence. Later he realised that it is right to pray at his residence.

For Rajanikanth the aspiration of doing the role of Sri Raghavendra Swami came when he was doing 25th film. His wish was approved by his mentor K Balachander.

When his film ‘Sri Raghavendra Swami’ did not do well, Dr Rajakumar urged to watch the film and Rajanikanth made a DVD of it and brought it to Dr Rajakumar. After watching the film Dr Rajakumar told Rajanikanth that the film ‘Sri Mantralaya Mahatme’ that he enacted did not do well in the first run. It was only in second run the film did well. On the advice of Dr Rajakumar, Rajanikanth released the film again – he had not taken single paisa for his 100th film. The film really did well. Rajanikanth wish also got fulfilled. For him Dr Rajakumar came like Lord. It is only Dr Rajakumar advice the film was released again in Tamil.
